Macau Sauna Guide — how a visit to Manhao works
From the lobby door to the bill, the whole visit in four stages.
Manhao sits inside the Grandview Hotel in Taipa, about five minutes by car from Cotai, and runs from 14:00 to 06:00 the next morning. Here is the whole visit, from the lobby door to the bill.
What happens when you arrive
Come up to the Manhao floor of the Grandview Hotel and the marble reception lounge takes over. Book through us and you simply give your name at the desk — entry is handled on our side, so there is nothing to work out item by item at the counter.
Reception hands over a locker and towels, and the changing rooms are laid out to hotel standard. Next is the marble bath hall: wooden soaking tubs, showers and a fully stocked grooming counter, all free to use. The Pure Sauna & SPA gate ticket is MOP 1,199 and Manhao sets no minimum spend; if you have chosen a massage course, the bath hall and the complimentary dining hall are already included.
Nothing is ticking yet at this stage, so most guests eat first in the marble dining hall or settle into the free starlight rest lounge. Private paid rest rooms are available if you want more privacy.
How the showcase hall works
Selection happens in the showcase hall — the largest of its kind in Macau, a multi-level catwalk with glass balustrades under stage lighting. You are seated and hosted, you watch a complete round, and only then do you choose. Nobody decides standing in a corridor.
The club runs a card-tier system that climbs red, silver and gold to black, each tier mapping to a course and a price band, with a multinational team of therapists behind it: Pure Sauna & SPA gate ticket MOP 1,199, Shanghai-style MOP 2,188, Southeast Asian series MOP 3,288 – 4,388, health and Euro-American series MOP 4,388 – 5,788, Japanese/Korean flagship MOP 6,188. Settle the band first and the choice narrows itself.
The line-up changes daily. Book through us and message before you set out — we will send that evening’s therapist details, so you arrive already knowing what to look for.
How room time is counted
Once you have chosen, you are shown to the room. Manhao suites are integrated — bedroom and waterbed in one space — so the massage, the shower and the rest all happen there, with no move halfway through.
Time is defined by the course, not by the room: 90 minutes for the Shanghai-style massage, 60 minutes for the Southeast Asian, Euro-American and Japanese/Korean courses. The signature red waterbed spotlight room and the mural suites both have a private bathroom, so you can shower before and after.
If you would rather have quiet, ask for a candlelit private massage room — fully soundproofed, with its own climate control. Book through us and 2 free add-on services come with it: ear cleaning, a back scrub or a foot massage, arranged in the room.
How the bill is settled
Everything is settled once, at the desk, on the way out. All items carry a 5% service charge plus a 5% tourism tax — two separate 5% lines, not the flat 10% people often assume — and spirits or wine are billed on top. Cash, cards, WeChat Pay and Alipay are all accepted.
The club closes at 06:00 and overnight stays are not offered at this stage, so plan to leave before then. The free private car booked through us covers the return leg as well: say where you are going and it takes you back to your hotel or the Border Gate.
One last thing: this site is an independent booking and transfer service, not the venue’s own website. Prices, rooms and therapist arrangements are confirmed when you book.
Before you go
Are Manhao Spa and "Manhao Sauna" the same place?
Yes. Manhao Spa (曼濠水療) also appears as Manhao Sauna, 曼濠桑拿 or the simplified 曼濠水疗 — all names for the same club inside the Grandview Hotel in Taipa.
How much does Manhao Spa cost?
The Pure Sauna & SPA gate ticket is MOP 1,199 and Manhao sets no minimum spend. Massage courses run from MOP 2,188 (Shanghai-style, 90 min) to MOP 6,188 (Japanese/Korean, 60 min), plus a 5% service charge and 5% tourism tax. Massage courses include sauna entry and the free dining hall.
What are the opening hours? Can I stay overnight?
Open daily 14:00 to 06:00 the next morning, with therapists on duty throughout. Overnight stays are not offered at this stage (the club closes at 06:00); there is a free starlight rest lounge, and private rest rooms can be added for a fee.
Where is Manhao Spa? How do I get there?
Inside the Grandview Hotel in Taipa, about 5 minutes by car from central Cotai. Book through us and a free private car picks you up anywhere in Macau and brings you back.
How does the showcase hall work?
Manhao runs the largest selection-showcase hall in Macau — a multi-level glass-railed catwalk with stage lighting. You are seated, watch a complete round, and choose afterwards. No hallway line-ups.
Is there KTV?
No — Manhao has no KTV. The entertainment centres on the showcase hall and dining lounge. If karaoke matters to you, message us and we can arrange a venue that has it.
What does the free dining include?
Steak and seafood are the headline dishes, backed by fried rice, fried noodles, noodle soups and soups, plus pork, lamb and sandwiches. Coffee, tea, milk tea, juice, soft drinks, Red Bull and beer all come with any massage course; only spirits and wine are billed separately.
What do I get for booking through this site?
A free private-car transfer (pick-up and return) and 2 free add-on services — traditional ear cleaning, a back scrub or a foot reflex massage, for example.
Is there a service charge? How do I pay?
All items carry a 5% service charge plus a 5% tourism tax. Payment is accepted in cash, by card, WeChat Pay or Alipay.
